1) Epilators do not work too well on long hair. It is also far more painful to remove long hair than shorter hair. Therefore it is a good idea to shave or have your hair waxed before you start to use your epilator. Then wait until the hair has grown to the shortest possible length recommended by your epilator manufacturer before epilating.

2) Epilating in the bath or shower can help you to relax and is especially good for those new to using an epilator. If you have a wet and dry epilator then you really should give this a go.

 

3)  Don’t forget to pull your skin tight while you use the epilator. This helps the epilator grab the hairs more easily.

4)  If you are really nervous about the discomfort that you may experience when using your epilator for the first time, you can always try taking a paracetamol or something similar an hour before you intend to remove your unwanted hair.

5) Try using talc on your skin before you start to epilate. This can help the epilator glide over your skin much more easily.

9)  A rechargeable epilator can give you more freedom from the restriction of  a short length of wire. and can make epilating that little bit easier.
