Best Epilator tips

Once you have chosen the best epilator for you. You may be like to read some of the helpful tips I have listed bellow. If you have any tips of your own, that may help other people who use epilators, then please feel free to post a comment.

1)  Some people recommend getting waxed or saving your hair  before you first use your new epilator. This helps in reducing the amount of hairs the epilator has to remove and is therefore less painful.

Keep on using the epilator regularly to keep the hairs at bay.

2)  I have also heard it is a good idea to have a hot shower or bath before using an epilator. This helps to soften the skin and the hair. You have probably seen barbers using a hot towel in films before they shave their customers. I also think it may help you to relax and make the experience a little less traumatic.

There are a few epilators on the market, now, that can be used under water. So, you could have a nice hot relaxing bath while removing those unwanted hairs.

3)  Don’t forget to pull your skin while you use the epilator. This helps the epilator grab the hairs more easily.

4)  If you are really nervous about the discomfort that you may experience when using your epilator for the first time, you can always try taking a paracetamol or something similar an hour before you intend to remove your unwanted hair.

5)  Most modern epilators come with some sort of cream or gel or ice pack that can help reduce any irritation or reddening of the skin. If you plan to show your legs or any other part of your body that you have removed the hair from then it is probably better to remove the hair the day before.

6)  It is very important to exfoliate your skin after you have used your epilator. This will help keep your skin in great condition and help prevent any in growing hairs. Always use a good quality Moisturiser after removing your hair.

7)  The more you use the epilator the more tolerant you will become. Please don’t just give up after the first try. Most people that use an epilator will tell you it gets easier and easier with time.
